Silk Screen Printing
Silk screen printing pushes ink through a fine mesh stencil, so one colour is printed at a time. It is the method most buyers picture when they ask for “a logo printed on it”: a one-colour mark on a canvas tote, a campaign line on a bottle, a single-colour wordmark across a run of event shirts.
Because every colour needs its own screen, screen printing reads best when the artwork has few colours and clear edges. Fine gradients, photographic images and very small type are the cases where a different method usually gives a cleaner result.
What to send
- Vector artwork (AI, EPS or PDF) with the logo exactly as it should print
- Pantone references for each colour, if the brand has them
- Where the mark sits on the product and how large it should be
